Homicide investigation begins after death of man in Titahi Bay

Police have opened a homicide investigation into the death of a man in Titahi Bay.

Barry Hall, 44, died at an Owhiti Street address in the Porirua seaside suburb on Friday 7 July, police said.

"Enquiries in relation to the circumstances of his death are ongoing," Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Middlemiss said.

"We are continuing to appeal for information from the public to assist our enquiries. We particularly want to hear from anyone who was in the Owhiti Street area on the afternoon/evening of Friday 7 July, who may have seen or heard something relevant to the investigation."

Anyone with information was asked to call Police on 105 and quote file number 230707/1182. Information could also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or on their website.
