Man wanted in relation to woman's kidnapping hands himself in to police
A man wanted in relation to a kidnapping investigation handed himself in overnight, police say.
A woman, who was reported as missing, had been kidnapped from Auckland's North Shore last month, police said yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Nick Poland said she managed to escape on 6 July.
The 33-year-old man handed himself in at Henderson Police Station.
He is expected to appear in the Waitākere District Court today, charged with kidnapping.
An investigation into the incident is continuing and police said they could not rule out further charges being laid.
