The White Ferns have been beaten by Sri Lanka by ten wickets in the third and final T20 international in Colombo.

New Zealand won the first two games to take the series 2-1.

The Ferns made three changes to their eleven with Izzy Gaze, Molly Penfold and Hannah Rowe coming in for Bernadine Bezuidenhout, Lea Tahuhu and Leigh Kasperek.

New Zealand scored 140 for nine, which Sri Lanka chased down in the 15th over.

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Suzie Bates and new opening partner Gaze put on 43 for the opening wicket with Bates eventually making 37.

Captain Sophie Devine chimed in with 46 runs off 25 balls, however the lower order failed to offer much.

New Zealand lost their last five wickets for 13 runs.

In reply Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu and Harshitha Samarawickrama had few problems with the skipper hitting 80 off 47 balls.

Devine tried seven bowlers but without success.
